Camarillo, incorporated in 1964, is located in Pleasant Valley, California, at the eastern end of the Oxnard Plain, Santa Susana Mountains to the north, Conejo Valley to the east and the Santa Monica Mountains to the west. Jose Pedro Ruiz established and created Rancho Calleguas in 1837, which is now Camarillo.

At approximately 45 square miles the District serves the Camarillo community with excellent programs, parks and facilities. Housing the Pleasant Valley Senior Center, the District provides social and leisure programs such as Bingo, Band Practice and Dances along with health-centered educational classes on Alzheimer’s, hearing aids, health Insurance and exercising.
The District holds the title as the only indoor aquatic center in Ventura County.
